Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage
Fran Broude

Fran Broude

Fran Broude was named President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Chicago and Milwaukee in 2007. In this position, she oversees the operations of 55 Coldwell Banker® offices and more than 3,900 affiliated sales associates in the Chicagoland, Northwest Indiana, Southwest Michigan and Southeast Wisconsin areas.

Broude began her real estate career in 1989 as a salesperson for a local one-office firm. Within a year, she was named Broker Manager and was credited with growing the firm from 15 to 40 agents and more than doubling gross sales. In 1991, she was promoted to Vice President of the firm and assumed responsibility for growth in the residential, commercial and new construction divisions.

In 1993, the firm was acquired by Prudential Preferred Properties, and in 1995, by Burnet Financial Group. Shortly after, Broude successfully opened the first "mega office" in Chicagoland. The 12,000- square-foot Northwest office opened with 98 agents and quickly grew to 140 sales professionals.

Broude was appointed Regional Vice President in 1997, overseeing eight offices. Coldwell Banker acquired the firm in 1998, and one year later, she was named Senior Vice President and assumed responsibility of the company's 19 offices in the Northwest suburbs, consolidating offices where duplication occurred, blending the cultures, systems and facilities of several different environments, and ultimately leading Coldwell Banker to the No. 1 position in the marketplace.

Between 2000 and 2002, Broude expanded her regional responsibilities, adding the DuPage and Wisconsin regions. In July 2002, she was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Sales Manager, overseeing four of the company's regional vice presidents and their regions, which encompassed 44 offices. In 2004, she became Executive Vice President/General Sales Manager, overseeing operations for all six regions and their regional managers.

Broude, a lifelong resident of suburban Chicago, graduated from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, with a degree in business administration. She has served on the board of directors for the Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois and the board of managers for Midwest Real Estate Data. In addition, she is a member of the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors®, the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors® and the Chicago Association of Realtors®. She is currently a director for the National Association of Realtors® and has been a NAR REach Mentor since 2013.
