Monty D. Smith
In his role as President of Company Generated Business, Smith oversees the servicing of incremental customer opportunities from all channels for NRT and pursues new business relationships to increase these opportunities. He has direct responsibility for NRT’s relocation and Internet lead service centers, the Home Resource Center (HRC), as well as NRT Coldwell Banker Powered by Zip/ZipRealty Residential Brokerage operations.
During his career with NRT, Smith has coordinated the efforts of NRT's relocation and Internet lead service centers around the country as well as been involved in leading several enterprise-level marketing and technology initiatives.
Smith began his real estate career in 1992 with Burnet Relocation as an account manager and then was promoted to Vice President of Client Development in 1994. In 1997 he was named President of Burnet Relocation. He additionally assumed the role of Vice President for Coldwell Banker Burnet Home Services in 2000. He led the creation and successful launch of the Coldwell Banker Burnet Home Resource Center in 2001, one of the industry's first client service centers supporting a brokerage website.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Smith has served as a member of the Google Real Estate, Trulia and DotLoop Advisory Boards. He currently represents Realogy on the National Association of Gay & Lesbian Real Estate Professionals (NAGLREP) Advisory Board. In addition, he is an active member of the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council (WERC) and in 2016, he was honored with their WERC Meritorious Service Award for his contributions. Smith also holds the Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) designation.
